As you can see, the site has undergone a few changes. I have added a comments facility, a mechanism for emailing me and provided lists of articles sorted by topic.
What I would really like to do is to turn the code that powers allrite.net into a package that I could distribute to others. I’ve use a lot of Open Source software everyday, and it would be nice to contribute something myself.
I am seriously considering using XML as the basis for this site. The data would be stored in MySQL and then extracted as XML, to be parsed by PHP’s XML functions. I have done some experiments along such lines, butI really need some time to properly describe the data structure. I also need to learn more XML skills! Although the XML route would probably be even slower and processor intensive than the current setup, I would certainly develop new skills.
