Haven`t got much time on here so I´ll be quick. Spent nights in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Hohenschwangau, and Munich. Of these Rothenburg was definitely the best. Despite the tourists, it feels so medieval, no doubt assisted by the fact that our visit was during the Imperial City festival where many of the townfolk dress up in period garb and reenact events from the past. Fireworks at night too!
We have been astonished by the beauty and sheer magnificence of the various imperial palaces, including the Residenzes at Würzburg and Munich, and the Nymphenberg, Hohenschwangau and Neuschanstein castles.
Still haven’t managed to hook up the PDA to the net, so no photos yet. Will be leaving for Salzburg in Austria tomorrow and Venice, Italy after that.
