How ironic that the day after we flew with Australian Airlines that Qantas announced that the brand would cease to exist. As we flew both Qantas international and Australian Airlines 767’s on the trip to Japan e were able to make a direct comparison between the two. Australian Airlines came out in front due to the young and enthusiastic service, better food and Japanese gameshow entertainment. The single class meant that we could also fly up the front of the plane.
That said, there was nothing really wrong with the Qantas flights, so I’m not particularly upset over the announcement. I wonder how Jetstar will do as a replacement.
