I can’t believe that my fellow Australian citizens have been so stupid as to return the Coalition to power. Even worse, it looks like conservatives might gain control of the senate.
I don’t like Mark Latham, but I loathe Howard and many of his cohorts. This election has been a triumph of spin over truth. So many suckers fell for the Liberal’s lies without bothering to check their validity.
Now we can look forward to fewer public services, more bigotry, more snobbery, more religious control over our lives and the further conversion of the public service into the government servants.
I don’t know if I can put up with 3 more years of this stupidity. Maybe it’s time to move to New Zealand.
