PHP Done Wright is quick introduction to writing quality PHP code for web applications. This book attempts to demonstrate how to write PHP code that is secure and maintainable right from the beginning. It’s targetted at new PHP programmers who may already have experience with other programming languages and PHP programmers who want to write better PHP code. It will help if you have a basic idea of Object Oriented Programming concepts. It is not a PHP language reference (the PHP web documentation is all you need for that) or an introduction to basic programming. Neither does it pretend to be comprehensive. However, after going through this guide you should have the skills to write robust PHP applications that are much simpler to maintain and extend.
