Last Saturday was the 10th anniversary of B and I’s first meeting on the Internet. The story is told elsewhere, so I won’t repeat it, except to say that it was a case of really bad luck that turned into the luckest day in my life so far.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have an opportunity to celebrate the anniversary, or even go online for a rare IRC session. We were stuck in Nelson Bay with the in-laws for the long weekend. I know I shouldn’t be so anti-social, but the best part of the trip was when the others left us alone in the apartment and we had a chance for some peace and quiet (and a hot spa). The sandboarding and 4WD in the dunes was pretty fun as well.
